Meet the CalcHub Editorial Team
Quick answer: Every calculator and article on CalcHub is built or reviewed by a domain expert. Our four-person editorial team brings 50+ combined years across personal finance (CPA, CFA candidate), clinical nutrition (PhD, RD), real estate (licensed broker), and education (Master's in Education). Below is who they are, what they cover, and how we keep content accurate.
Our Editorial Standards
CalcHub takes accuracy seriously because our readers make real financial and health decisions using these tools. Every guide is researched against primary sources — the IRS, CFPB, FDIC, NIH, CDC, USDA, and peer-reviewed journals — and every calculator formula is cross-checked against at least two independent references before publication. Health content is reviewed by Dr. James Chen (RD, PhD) for medical accuracy; financial content is reviewed by Sarah Mitchell (CPA) for compliance with current tax law and regulatory guidance.
We do not publish AI-only content. Every article begins as a human-written outline, is drafted by a subject-matter editor, fact-checked against citations, and reviewed by the relevant domain lead. We refresh evergreen guides quarterly and update tax/interest-rate figures within two weeks of any IRS, Federal Reserve, or major regulatory change. When sources disagree, we explain the disagreement rather than picking a single authority silently.

Editorial Policy
- No AI-only content. All articles are human-authored. AI tools may be used for grammar checks or outline brainstorming, but never for unsupervised writing or fact generation.
- Quarterly refresh cycle. Every evergreen article is reviewed at least four times per year and re-dated if changes are material.
- Primary-source citations. Statistical claims link directly to IRS, CFPB, FDIC, NIH, CDC, USDA, BLS, or peer-reviewed sources — never to other content sites.
- Calculator verification. Every formula is checked against at least two independent references; complex calculators are spot-checked against published worked examples.
- Affiliate disclosure. CalcHub does not currently accept paid placements within articles; any future affiliate links will be clearly disclosed at the top of the relevant page.
- Corrections policy. Errors reported via our contact form are reviewed within 48 hours and corrected publicly with a dated note.
- Independence. No author owns equity in a product or service they recommend; conflicts of interest are disclosed inline.
